First Presbyterian Church Of Oregon
First Presbyterian has about 140 year history of ministry in Oregon, IL, rooted in the Presbyterian faith, but embracing individuals at any point in their faith journey. We are a community of sharing. Much of what we do is "in house" for the ministry in our midst and a sizable portion is given to others and special needs as we see the opportunity.
Our Sunday morning worship is traditional including beautiful music, scripture readings, and Bible-based preaching. Wherever you are in your faith journey, we invite you to participate fully in the singing of hymns, offering of prayers, and sharing around God's table. We usually celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of the month. The dress code is casual. Children are welcome participants in our worship and will especially enjoy the children's message. Fellowship time happens following worship and you're invited to our Fellowship Hall for coffee and conversation.
